Goodie Goodie is proud to announce the additions of Boris Garcia and Caveman to the Dancing Wu Li Festival, May 19-20, 2006, at Snipes Farm in Morrisville, PA.

Boris Garcia, the Philadelphia-based band of acoustic virtuosos, will be bringing their blend of Rootsy Americana Back Porch Jam Grass Folk Music to Wu Li, opening the main stage on Friday, May 19.

Caveman, a Raw Mystical Experience of Energetic Instrumental Improvisation will take you on a Journey to the Ice Jeweled Cave, closing the festival with a special late night set on Saturday, May 20.

Late Night Sets on the Barn Stage:
Pnuma Trio, who combines dance music with raw, soulful, beat-driven compositions, has been selected to perform a special late night set on Friday, May 19, while the aforementioned Caveman rips it on Saturday, May 20.

Strangers Helping Strangers Joins Wu Li Family

Strangers Helping Strangers is the premier music fan-based charity in the Northeastern United States. Since 1997, SHS has been coordinating food drives at concerts and music festivals throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic. In 2005, over 50,000 non-perishable food and baby items were collected and donated to dozens of local food banks and homeless shelters.

Originally founded by fans of the Vermont band Strangefolk, SHS has grown exponentially and now partners with dozens of bands including Rev. Tor, Uncle Billy’s Smokehouse, Primary Others, Ryan Montbleau, the Assembly of Dust, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. SHS also coordinates food drives at several Northeast music festivals including Garden of Eden, Wormtown, Camp Creek, Gathering of the Vibes, and of course, Dancing Wu Li Festival.

The Dancing Wu Li festival is proud to host an art auction to benefit the Little Kids Rock organization.

Music is a critical component of a first-rate education. Children who know the joys of expressing themselves creatively build confidence and self-esteem, and are less likely to channel their energy into destructive outlets. These benefits spill over into all of the other academic subjects. Unfortunately, many elementary schools have been stripped of their music programs. These cuts have had a disproportionately large impact on children from low-income backgrounds. Our programming restores music to its rightful place in the academic lives of the kids in our public schools.
On May 19th & 20th artists such as Blues Traveler, Keller Williams, Steve Kimock, and many more will show their support for Little Kids Rock by signing an original painting created specifically for the Little Kids Rock benefit. This painting will be auctioned off immediately following the festival. All proceeds benefit the Little Kids Rock organization.
